They don’t produce any school children.

They are unlikely to pose any real burden to emergency services, like police, fire and first aid response. They’re largely considered a “low maintenance” commercial ratable for municipalities starved for more cash to offset taxes.

But is warehousing really the answer? And what effects will all of that pavement have on underground water resources? And where will all that additional stormwater wind up?
